The Technology Research on Electron Beam Cold Hearth Melting Furnace Using 100 Titanium Sponge to Produce High Quality Pure Titanium Ingot

摘要

This paper mainly discussed the feasibility of using 100% titanium sponge, to produce pure titanium ingot by electron beam cold hearth melting furnace. Combining industrialized production, through experiment, we explored the influence factors of metallurgical quality of ingot about using 100% titanium sponge to produce pure titanium ingot by electron beam cold hearth melting furnace,optimized the melting technological parameters of electron beam cold hearth melting furnace to produce the large size ingot,proposed some quality assurance measures,produced high quality and large size pure titanium ingot, which could meet the special demands for plate heat exchanger etc.
