TPEs have been used in consumer (1-3), medical (4), packaging (5) and industrial applications. Thermoplastic elastomers exhibit elastic performance but can be processed as plastics. TPEs often provide freedom for designers and manufacturers to develop new applications at a lower system cost. Also, they are often considered to be environmentally friendly due to their recyclability.
