With the increasing development of electrified railway,especially the rapid development of high-speed railway,overloading and high-speed will be the main problems,and also the main focused issues for the development of electrified railways in China.Following the completion of high-speed rail network,electrified railway is requiring increase of load power,enhancement of power supply capacity as well as improvement of power supply reliability.Therefore,electrified railway power quality has played an increasingly important role in the development of high-speed railway.Considering these issues,this paper briefly introduce the electrified railway power quality as well as analysis the characteristics of it.In this paper,there is a major discussion about the following three aspects of power quality.They are harmonic,negative sequence and reactive power.At the same time,the causes,effects,hazards,as well as major improvement of harmonic,negative sequence and reactive power are also explained.
