Water blooms are closely related to the contents and availability of phosphorous (P) in water and sediment for a eutrophic lake.Most studies focused on the effects of disturbance,pH,metal ions,biogenic elements and plant community on changes of P content and availability.However,there was insufficient investigation on the contribution of alga itself development,especially during the fast proliferating,blooming and decaying stages to the status of P in a eutrophic and shallow lake.This study are to simulate the proliferating,suspending and submerging of two very common algae,Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and Microcystis Aeruginosa,and to define the potential contribution of alga itself to variations of water quality for a shallow and eutrophic lake.
