Ongoing change in the energy sector require ever more operational of obtaining and processing information about the current state of the power system. At the same time are placing demands on the accuracy and reliability of measurements of the circuit. This article focuses on the method of rapid determination of the coordinates of the short-circuit transmission line. The urgency of this problem for autonomous systems due to the fact that such systems emerge, usually in sparsely populated regions with harsh climates, low temperatures, wind, sleet, etc. It is in these circumstances, especially a high probability of breaks and short circuits. The solution to this problem is achieved by digital processing in real-time current information on currents and voltages of power lines immediately before and after a short circuit. High measuring accuracy is achieved by using a Rogowski coil as a transmitter voltage and current.
