Rainfall is one of important factors influencing slope stability. The excavation slope along a reservoir bank was taken as the research object. Based on saturated - unsaturated seepage theory, the seepage field and water table of the slope was obtained by finite element method under the condition of rainfall, and then the factor of safety of the slope under the condition of no reinforcement, under the condition of reinforcement, under the condition of reinforcement and drainage holes, under the condition of reinforcement, drainage holes and deep tunnel were obtained by Mongenstern-Price Method. The factor of safety of the first condition is 0.989 that can't meet the Stability control standard of the Momentary condition. The factor of safety of the last condition is 1.073 that met the Stability control standard. When the drainage measures continue to improve, the slope becomes more stable was obtained by analyzing the factor of safety. The result provide helpful for the design of slope protection works.
