The objective of this research is to evaluate elevated temperature factors for pultruded composites. This work has been conducted in support of the load resistance factor design (LRFD) standard being developed for pultruded composites. Tensile test data was obtained according to ASTM D638-08. As part of this study, required conditioning time for the desired temperature has been examined. Data measured after the pultruded composites were exposure to temperatures ranging from 70°F to 150°F are presented. The average tensile strength data from the 70°F, 100°F, 125°F, and 150°F tensile tests were used to develop a tensile strength retention percentage vs. temperature curve.
