In order to protect China's environment, especially the aqua resources and environment, to promote the trait-centered quality and to construct a sustainable development society, it is necessarily for us to analyzing the awareness of aqua resources and environment. For that, the questionnaire research is carefully put up, choosing the primary school and high school students in Nanjing city, Jiangsu province of China as typical research objects. Two main objectives are including in this questionnaire research. One is to present a comprehensive estimation of the awareness of aqua resources and environment of primary school and high school students. The other is to carrying on the relations analysis between the formation of the students' environmental awareness and its family background. The main results show as follows: (1) The awareness of aqua resources and environment of primary school and high school students of Nanjing city is just in general level. (2) Among factors, such as theoretical knowledge, personal experience, school education, family education and social surroundings helping foster students' awareness of aqua environment, school education and family education play more important roles. (3) Education on aqua resources and environment is better in primary schools than that in high schools. (4) Family background is vital to fostering children's awareness of aqua resources and environment protection.
