Based on the structure of cartridge valve and the continuity equation of fluid, the mathematic model of cartridge valve was established. In addition, the simulation model of cartridge valve was built based on AMESim. After analyzing, several parameters related to pressure steady-state performance were selected to study on. The effects of the spring in main spool, the front cavity of main valve, the spring in pilot valve and the damping to pressure dynamic performance were analyzed. By the study of simulation, master the steady-state and dynamic performance of pressure control cartridge valve comprehensively and systematically: as spring stiffness decreases, steady pressure regulation deviation of poppet decrease; spring pretightening force only has an effect on open press, has no effect on steady pressure regulation deviation; as spool diameter increase, steady pressure regulation deviation of poppet decrease; poppet spring stiffness and pilot valve spring stiffness has no effect on the pressure dynamic performance. Using these simulation results, predict the characteristic of cartridge valve during the period of system design, to improve design efficiency and make sure of design quality.
