The research focuses on gaining urban insights through visualization. A real-world case study is elaborated, based on data from 'Stad Antwerpen in Cijfers'. The aim is exploring methods to (visually) transcribe an urban issue, interpreted as an interactive story, to the residents of Antwerp by means of an interactive tool on the World Wide Web. The case study explores the urban gentrification in the city's districts. Through the comparison of datasets, ranging from the average household's salary to district's investments, the users become familiar with the process of gentrification. The research brings insights in how to visualize urban data. Additionally it illustrates how urban data can be conveyed to non-professionals.
