摘要

Radial and tangential strengths, formed by blast can be determined taking into consideration rock jointing, based on penetration, reflection and refraction processes of blast waves into rock massive joints. Also, there are considered some issues for optimal definition of burden distance and other blast design parameters, using relative radius of breakage zone in monolith and jointy rocks. Practical importance of the recommended research methodic is evaluated by experimental blasts in real conditions of coal mines.
