Study on Utilization Efficiency of Water Resources in Industry in Shandong Province

摘要

Total factor productivity analysis of water resources in industry of 17 cities in Shandong Province was conducted by data envelopment analysis (DEA) in this paper. The results showed that the total factor productivity of water resources in industry of 17 cities in Shandong Province had been descending from 2004 to 2008, and the main reason laid in technology stagnancy based on further analysis of Malmquist index. The technical efficiency and the scale efficiency changed on reverse direction. Accordingly, in order to achieve the sustainable use of water in Shandong Province, technical efficiency improvement, water-saving technological progress and aggrandizement of economy scale and the efficiency interaction were advanced in this paper.
