摘要

This paper describes a novel power controlscheme for a three-phase to single-phase matrix converterfor a gas engine cogeneration system. This matrix converterhas no dc link but a small capacitor for compensation ofsingle-phase power pulsation. The capacitor also contributesto compensate reactive current of a generator. Additionally,modulation control of instantaneous three-phase power isapplied to reduce capacitance' of the compensationcapacitor. According to this scheme, power pulsation ispartially absorbed by rotor inertia of the generator and gasengine. In this paper, the proposed control scheme isdescribed in detail including design method of compensationcapacitor, and verified through numerical simulation andexperiments.
