摘要

The aim of this study was to investigate the use of LEDs in road lighting installations. Cost analyses were carried out, so as to compare the investment and life cycle costs of LED installations with common alternative solutions. From these analyses, it was determined that road lighting installations with LEDs cost 60 % and 55 % more than those using tubular high pressure sodium lamps and ceramic compact metal halide lamps, for investment and 10 year life cycle costs respectively. According the results of this study, energy consumption with LED installations, compared with the alternatives, increases by from 39 % to 56 %, depending on the lighting class.
