Ferroelectric fluoride, β-Ga203 and F-doped core-free YAG single crystals for UV/VUV applications, are introduced as representative recent research subjects of our group. 2-inch size ferroelectric BaMgF4 single crystals have been grown. The fabrication of QPM devices, and subsequent SHG in different wavelength were demonstrated. β-Ga2O3 is one of the transparent conductive oxides, which has the largest bandgap, 4.8 eV. 2-inch size β-Ga2O3 single crystals have been grown. Blue LEDs on β-Ga2O3 with vertical current injection was demonstrated. F-doped core-free YAG single crystals have been grown as a potential new lens material for UV/VUV.
