Based on flow model and GIS technology, a Debris Flow Hazard Assessment System is designed and implemented. With the core of computer simulation technology, the base of GIS technology and flow mode, using the topographic data provided by the user, simulating the movement of debris flow, finally the system get the motion parameters of the debris flow in the process of moving. By GIS technology the system can process and analysis the result data and get the related information of everywhere within the scope of debris flow movement. The system achieves the visual management to manage the risk assessment of debris flow, and provides evidence and guidance for forecasting danger, rescuing and disaster relief. Based distributed system architecture of socket, the system scalability, stability and efficiency have been greatly improved. System used in debris basin in Yunnan Jiangjiagou obtained good simulation results.
