摘要

Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of vegetation cover on study area is computed based on Remote Sensing (RS) images, and then it is used as a weight number to calculate spatial density distribution (SDD) of garden-wastes according to the amount of wastes resources. Spatial analysis functions of geographic information system (GIS) are adopted to treat quantitative analysis on site selection of both centralized disposal sites and local disposal sites based on the SDD. In the analysis process, both location-allocation modeling and service area modeling are referenced. Research result can provide necessary information for the site selection and administrative decision, which is critical to effective utilization of waste resources.
