Applications and Markets for Direct FuelCell Power Plants

FuelCell Energy, Inc. (FCE) has been producing commercial stationary fuel cell power plants since 2003 for markets where ultraclean or renewable power is needed. More than 85 MW of FCE's Direct FuelCell~R (DFC~R) powerplants are operating at over 60 sites worldwide. Two key markets have emerged for the technology: Clean power generation from natural gas, and renewable, clean power generation from biogas. Within these broad market segments DFC powerplants are deployed in on site power generation or grid connected applications.
