The use of metal-supported catalysts for the reaction of methane steam reforming is one of the most promising approaches for synthesis gas production [1-3]. Both gauze and metal-porous supports can be used for this purpose. In [1], testing results of nickel catalyst reinforced by stainless steel gauze are presented. The catalyst was prepared by sintering of metal nickel powder with supported chrome-oxide-doped nickel catalyst. The authors of [2] proposed a catalyst produced by supporting rhodium on a Fechral substrate washcoated with aluminum and magnesium oxides. In [3], a plate-type metal-monolithic anodic alumina supported nickel catalyst (Ni/NiAl2O4/γ-Al2O3/alloy catalyst) was developed and studied in the reaction of methane stream reforming. The present work is focused on the development and studies by various methods of methane steam reforming catalysts supported by metal-porous materials.
