In this paper, the effects of different alkali-saline stress on the total rhizome length. new rhizome length and root density of Aneurolepidium chinense were studied. The result show s that rhizome showed higher values in rhizome increase under proper alkali-saline stress intensity (A2), and lower values under higher alkali-saline stress (A3-A5). Heavy stress obviously affected the density of the underground modules than that of the aboveground. The effect of alkali-saline stress on rhizome diameter was not significant.
