The secondary cooling of slab continuous casting is very important for the quality of slab. The test based on unsteady state heat conduction. In heating matal samples heated to the actual temperature of secondary cooling casting, we simulated the influence of nozzl qualities to billet colling process. According to the actual production layout of secondary cooling nozzle, we study a single nozzl, double nozzles forced cooling of billet heat transfer coefficient experiment. By testing different types of nozzles to get the heat transfer coefficient in different pressures, and the different effects between single-nozzl and double nozzle. The results of the experiment are shoen that the test of the nozzle thermal performance provide proof for nozzle layout of secondary cooling and optimizing secondary water cooling system.
