Self-diagnosis capabilities of Coriolis mass flowmeters - Customer's benefit through process diagnosis

Coriolis mass flowmeters are widely used for very accurate measurements of mass flow rate and density. Concerning the accuracy, major difficulties arise when measuring two-phase flow (gas/liquid). In the following sections, methods which enable the Coriolis mass flowmeter to detect flow patterns, cavitation and to estimate the gas-void-fraction are introduced. Furthermore the customer's benefits are outlined.
