Effect of Fault Location on Dynamic Security Region

Due to its specific advantages, the model of probabilistic insecurity index is being applied in the security analysis of power systems. While different fault locations' dynamic security region (DSR) in the model limits the application. Based on the fact that the boundaries of DSR can be expressed by hyper-plane and the migration law of the hyper-plane, lots of simulations on IEEE 4-genarator 11-bus system are performed. Through the results of the simulations, it is found that the relationship between changes in DSR hyper plane constant and fault location is approximately exponential. And a simplified algorithm is also given in the paper. The comparison between relationship curve and fitting curve of the simulation data indicates that the conclusion is effective and precise.
