Recent years, it has been recognized that the existing routing architecture of today's Internet is facing scalability issues which could degrade network performance seriously. To solve the problem, several solutions proposed to address the Internet addressing architecture by separating the IP address into the routing locator space and the end systems identifier space. A key question for this solution is how to provide an efficient and reliable service for mapping the identifiers onto the locators in the new architecture. In this paper, we present a revision of LISP-DHT, a mapping distribution system based on Distributed Hash Tables (DHT). The paper describes the overall architecture of the revision, explains the main points and how it works.
