摘要

On the basis of analysis on the positioning error of the satellite, this paper is about an optimal geometric collocation of the constellation. The results indicate that the height and uniform character of the distribution of the constellation determine the geometrical dilution of precision of the constellation. Through the analysis and calculation in this paper, in course of GPS systems positioning, there is a set of optimal geometric collocation constellation that consists of less satellite.
