A new type of air-conditioning system for local thermal disaster was created. The mine local thermal disaster area was provided cold directly with the technology of compressed air and evaporative cooling. The principle of compressed air and evaporative cooling was analyzed, including the cooling of compressed air expansion and evaporative moisture absorption. The heat absorption was calculated. The structural model of the air-conditioning system was put forward. The process of the structural model was analyzed. The evaporative cooling and its setting position were designed. And the cooling ability of the structural model was also analyzed. Take Zhaolou coal mine for example, the chilling requirement for heading face and the compressed air gas volume needed to provide for the local area were calculated. It is concluded that the D-100/8 type air compressor made in China can be able to meet the refrigeration requirement for Zhaolou coal mine heading faces. The air-conditioning system is simple and flexible. It is a choice of new way of cooling.
