Theoretical analysis shows that high pressure water jet combats coal is the result of comprehensive effect; Based on the analysis, experiment and preliminary research results, the optimized designs of jet and mechanical bit combined tower drill structure and parameters, and forms a set of high pressure water jet drilling technology and equipment; The field test result shows, the researched high pressure water jet and mechanical bit combined drill has a good effect on coal broken. It can meet the requirement of smooth discharge for coal seam drilling. The whole equipment has the ability of drilling long hole in coal seam.
