Based on the impulse characteristic of near-fault seismic wave, first of all, the dynamic stability characteristics of tensioned cable-truss (TCT) subjected to near-fault double seismic wave is analyzed, and different dynamic instability model is find. Thereafter, for the sake of dynamic response control of TCT, the viscoelastic damper ( VED) is studied on this kind of structures, the optimization design method of the VED is obtained, and the vibration control design curve of TCT with VED is presented, the study results show that add reasonable VED at reasonable position have an evident vibration control effects. At the same time, a nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis software have been compiled for the TCT structures, the software can be used to analyze the nonlinear dynamic response of TCT structures with VED, also can be used to analyze the dynamic stability of TCT subjected to horizontal period load or multi-earthquake wave, the software provided a reliable design method and a analysis tool for the vibration control of TCT with VED structures.
