The existence of moisture and its migration in the soil are crucial to the bearing ability of cement concrete pavement. To investigate the damage of pavement, the sample models are studied under different initial water content, dry density, and characteristics. The experiments are carried out in the indoor isothermal situation to animate the rising of groundwater, whose effect on the filling soft of the subgrade and the motion characteristics of the moisture are studied. Through analyzing the time variable curves of water content, migration rate of humid front surface with height, water flux and terminal distribution of the water content of sample models, it is discovered that soil characteristics, initial water content and dry density are three important factors to water flux, migration rate and terminal distribution of water content of the soil.
