Energetic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers (ETPUEs), based on Hexamethylene diisocyanate and 1, 4-butanediol (BDO) as hard segments and3, 3-bis (azidomethyl) oxetane-tetrahydrofiran (BAMO-THF) copolymer (PBT) as soft segments, were synthesized.The microphase separation of ETPUEs with different hard segment content was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and mechanical properties test.The results showed that with the increasing of hard segment content, the hydrogen bonds between hard segments increased and the peak around 0.5(A)-1 in the SAXS curves became stronger.In addition, with the increasing of hard segment content, the glass transition temperature of hard segment (Tgh) shifted to higher temperature and the maximum stress (σm) increased which due to the increased hard segment gathering capacity.In conclusion, with the increasing of hard segment content, the inter-urethane hydrogen bonding increased and the microphase separation degree of PBT-based energetic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers increased.
