摘要

The accurate calculation of fault current is an important step in power fault detection, it is very important for the security and stability control devices which play a significant role during the safe and stable operation of power system. This article explains the experimental research on the algorithms such as half-wave integration, root-mean-square method and FFT algorithm. After comparison and analysis, conclusions are obtained. Finally, FFT algorithm is chosen as the algorithm for calculating fault current of security and stability control devices based on the experimental results which may be useful to other measurement, control and protection devices.
