Hollow polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres having a diameter of 20-80μm were coated with silver (Ag) on their outer surface by using an electroless plating technique. The coated microspheres were characterized by using optical microscope, scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X ray spectroscopy (EDX) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. It was observed that Ag was uniformly deposited on the surface of microspheres. The coating was composed of Ag nanoparticles having diameter of the order of 100-400nm. The complex permittivity of silver coated PMMA microsphere-epoxy composites were measured in the X-band frequencies. It was observed that the real part of complex permittivity was in the range of 11.3 to 17.0 and imaginary part was of the order of 60 to 70.^
