China Tropical Forest Fire Monitoring and Management System Based on Satellite Remote Sensing Data

摘要

To achieve more automatic, more intuitive and more efficient forecast, prediction, monitoring and management of tropical forest fires, China tropical forest fire monitoring and management system based on satellite remote sensing data was developed through the research under the support of the geographical information systems and remote sensing satellite on fire danger weather forecast, forest fire danger prediction method, forest fire monitoring & early warning technology and forest fire management. The system put the focus on the research on tropical forest fire early warning & monitoring as well as the automatic management of tropical forest fires, including the functions of tropical forest fire forecast & prediction, automatic detection of forest fires, forest fire management and decision-making support, etc. The actual operation of the system in the experiment & demonstration area indicated that the system could provide important decision-making support in terms of tropical forest fires fighting and management.
