A pot experiment was conducted with spring wheat and black soil as test materials to study the effects of different fertilization practice on the use efficiency of labeled fertilizer nitrogen, its residual rate in soil, and gaseous losses. The results showed that the application of chemical fertilizer nitrogen alone decreased the residual rate of labeled fertilizer nitrogen and increased its loss rate among the tested fertilization practices, while a combined application of chemical fertilizer and maize straw could obviously increase the fertilizer nitrogen recovery by soil and plant, and decrease the gaseous losses of fertilizer nitrogen. In this study, the reasonable fertilization practice was 200 kg·hm-2of chemical fertilizer nitrogen plus 35.7 kg·hm-2 of maize straw nitrogen, which had higher nitrogen use efficiency and lower nitrogen loss under having no effect on the yield of spring wheat conditions.
