Human Capital, Technology Change and the Development strategies of Agricultural Products Processing Industry

The academic circle has paid much attention to the technology advancement of agricultural products processing industry (Referred to as "agro -industry"), whereas little effort has been made on the research of the human capital of agricultural products processing industry. This paper, with theories about human capital and technology advancement as its theoretical basis, analyzes the present conditions of technology advancement and human capital in the agricultural products processing industry. Secondly, based on expounding the complementary relation between human capital and technology advancement, both long-term and short-term development strategies have been put forward in the paper. Finally, the paper draws its conclusion: only when technology advancement is combined with high human capital can it turn to be a necessary and sufficient element for the development of China's agricultural products processing industry.
