AgNi alloy is a kind of electrical contact materials, which has excellent comprehensive performances, but it still faces the challenge of becoming invalid with Ni reacted during storage and usage.In this work, a typical failure sample was analyzed and the fail features were summarized.Perfluorinated oil, self-assembly monolayers, graphene oxide and carbonaceous mesophase were used as protective layer.Salt spray testing, anti-sulfur testing were applied to evaluate the effects.Self-assembly monolayers has good performance both in salt spray testing and anti-sulfur testing, it is an effective way to protect AgNi electrical contactor.
