摘要

The engineering environments, geological features and terrain conditions are complicated for demolition blasting of water retaining rock-step of water inlet of the Tuoxi hydroelectric station enlargement project in Hunan province. The project also has the characteristics of large-scale blasting, high risk and pressing construction periods etc. A series of procedures for precision demolition blasting are as follows: demolition procedures including vertical delaminating and horizontal zoning, weak loosening blasting combined with strong loosening blasting for bench blasting, smooth blasting of both ends of the rock-step, delay blasting inside and outside holes, rigorous safety protection and so on. All of them will contribute valuable experience towards the similar projects to be built in the future.
