Research and Application of Functional Ontology in Household Appliances Domain

To improve sharing and reusability of designingknowledge in domestic enterprises; a proposal of sharing ofknowledge based on functional ontology was proposed. Byusing bases of knowledge of functional ontology, the mappingof structure-to-function" has been realized. On basis ofcomprehensively understanding Original functional model,through changing way of function achievement to obtain newfunctional model of product, an. innovation of product wasaccomplished. Function decomposition tree describes afunctional model about specific device, which includesfunctional designing principle. This paper designed a softwareplatform based on functional decomposition tree, which canachieve retrieval of functional knowledge and draw out afunction decomposition tree of refrigerator.
