Introduction Buffalo is one kind of amazing animal with high tolerance on low quality forages and heat stress.There are more than 23 million of buffalo in China,which is almost two times of dairy cows and ranking third in the word followed India and Pakistan.Most buffalo breeds in China are swamp buffalo,in which milk yield are much lower than river breed.Hybrid buffalo (river breed×swamp breed) might bean potentialanimal to serve as milk buffalo.
