Injection foaming molding process is known as the promising technology to contribute to high fuel efficiency by reducing cars' plastic part weight. Due to bad surface appearance by foaming gas mark, however, it has not been used for automotive interior trims especially, door trim. In this study, we reviewed general information of injection foaming molding processes by chemical and physical foaming and also introduced new process and material requirement to have good surface appearance to be used for automotive interior trims. In addition, we presented experimental data of polyolefin for good surface appearance.
