@@ Researchers have suggested that the use of pedometers in combination with goal settings can motivate students to exercise (Tudor-Locke, 2002; Tudor-Locke, Myers, & Rodger, 2001). Pedometers, as a motivational tool, can monitor an individual's daily activity levels, provide instant activity feedback, and reminder exercising (e.g., Tudor-Lorke, 2002). In addition, setting specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely (SMART) goals can sustain and enhance students' engagement and motivation (Anderson, 2002).
