摘要

The solid base catalyzed process by jatropha curcas to biodiesel was green technology that would decrease energy consumption and reduce exhaust emissions. Using jatropha curcas oil as raw material, Shanghai Sunrise Chemical Corporation LTD developed complete sets of packaged process that included deacidification of jatropha curcas oil, solid base catalyzed transesterification, scale-up of reactor.Kinetics model of transesterification was built ,cold model experiment was carried out for agitator selection. The reactor that had 500L volume was designed according to scale-up criterion of process research. It was proved via pilot plant that the performence of biodiesel by jatropha curcas oil reached GB standard and approached to ASTM D-6751 and EN 14214 standard. The result of bench test of biodiesel on motor vehicles indicated that the use of biodiesel made for lower smoke emissions.
