CREEP TESTS OF GLASS FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS

摘要

Glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) is a new type of geosynthetics. A spiral anchor of GFRP is developed. Tensile tests and creep tests of GFRP anchor have been carried out. Creep test results show that creep properties of the GFRP are obviously different from that of conventional geosynthetics. Creep properties of the GFRP have not been affected by temperature change. There is no creep occurrence besides instantaneous strain when bearing load is smaller than 40% of the tensile strength. It can be concluded that creep properties of GFRP are perfect.
