Processing Problems Occurred during AISI 409L Ferritic Stainless Steel Slab Casting

摘要

The phenomena of SEN clogging, un-stable slab width, great columnar crystal development, and slab fracture during continuous casting are concerned for Ti-stabilization element addition of 409L. Regarding the problems, the researches of solidification behavior, elevated temperature physical properties, and precipitation behaviors of 409L were carried out. The preliminary solution has been gotten to solve the technical problem, and the product quality is improved.
