Measurements of the velocity field and burning velocity are reported for hydrogen-enriched methane flames in a swirl-stabilized premixed laboratory scale burner. Due to the higher flame speeds associated with hydrogen, flames enriched with hydrogen are prone to flashback. Therefore, measurements of turbulent flame speeds for different hydrogen contents are desired. In this study, we present detailed PIV measurements of the velocity field for two hydrogen concentrations in hydrogen-methane flames with two different Reynolds numbers based on bulk axial inlet velocity and hydraulic diameter. The measured velocity fields are analyzed to extract flame speeds.
