Designs and materials used for pickling tanks in the tube pickling industry

Different chemical pretreatment processes require different designs and materials for pretreatment tanks. Whereas in the past steel tanks with inliners or concrete tanks with in liners have been used, today a clear trend to synthetic tanks can bee seen. This paper tries to give a rough overview about different designs and materials, that are common in tube pretretament tanks. A rough comparison of advantages and disadvantages of the different designs is pointed out.
