Foreword China's joining to WTO facilitates China's further integration into the global economy and further promotes the development of multilateral trade system.The abolishment of textile quota will be a great benefit for national traditionally advantaged industry—the textile clothing exportation.Uruguay round agreement on free trade of textile was reached,which means much less restrictions on market admission and the textile exportation conditions in developing countries including China will be optimized.The worldwide textile trade will undergo a significant development and the influence brought to the cotton industry at upper market segment is: on one hand,the agreement reached in Uruguay round promotes China's textile exportation as well as the cotton importation.On the other hand,in light of the promise China made in the negotiation for WTO entry,China will permit foreign enterprises to engage in all round cotton circulation service,and provide national treatment to them since 2007.Due to these conditions,foreign cotton traders will swarm into Chinese cotton market and the diverse,multi-channel and equal competitive status will be formed.The cotton machine industry,as an important link in cotton industry chain,has undergone great changes,as follows:
