This paper is an indicative study based on observations and literature review. It provides a comparison between U.S.,Japan and China with different styles of technology development. Through that,a gap has been found between Chinese manufacturers and the world-class,a roadmap has been produced,which intends to lead the transition of Chinese manufacturers from strategic imitation to open business model. Since it set an example for sequential learning and managing its business model open,LENOVO,as a pathfinder among Chinese manufacturers,is selected for case studies.
