Novel wind turbine control and Energy Storage (ES) scheme introduced Control and integration of ES with multiple wind turbines delivers constant power demanded by load. Demanded active and reactive power are shared by DFIGs using frequency and voltage droops. Grid voltage and frequency may be controlled by DFIGs; inherent V and f regulation. Control does not effect standard DFIG ride-through behaviour to grid voltage dips Suitable for local area DG, micro-grids, off-shore wind farm connection.
