Application of Moldflow in Injection Mold Design for the Panel of Air Conditioner

摘要

Traditional experience's design method would risk the failure of mold design. This paper simulated injection molding process for the panel of air conditioner using CAE software called Moldflow / Mpi 5.1. The influence of gate location on the appearance of the product was studied. Then an optimum design project was chosen for mold manufacture. The result of molding experiment showed that CAE can be used as a tool to aid mold design.
